Brokers-in-Charge: If you did not complete your continuing education by June 10th, 2009 you should call the NC Real Estate Commission at 919-875-3700 for further instruction regarding your specific situation and what will be required to remove your CE deficiency and re-designate as a Broker-in-Charge.

For all other licensees, here is what you need to do to make up your continuing education deficiency:

1. Per NC Real Estate Commission rules, no classes can be taken between June 11 and June 30, inclusive. This includes Online CE and in-class continuing education.
2. In order to make up your continuing education deficiency, you will need to take the 2009-2010 Mandatory Update and either 2 or 3 electives. If you did not take any CE for the 2008 – 2009 year, you will be required to take the Mandatory Update and 3 elective courses (16 total hours).
   
   If you took either the Mandatory Update or an elective, but not both in the 2008 – 2009 license year, then you will need to take the Mandatory Update and 2 elective courses (12 total hours). The electives may be taken IN CLASS or ONLINE, but not before July 1. The Mandatory Update class must be taken in class.

4. Once you have completed all CE, you must also submit to the Commission a completed "Request to Activate License" form which may be found on the NC Real Estate Commission website.
