Renewing your NC Real Estate License

Please be sure to renew your NC Real Estate License and to complete your required continuing education. The NC Real Estate Commission allows you to renew online using a credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Discover) for payment. It is convenient and only takes a few minutes. You can go ahead and renew your license now, even if you haven’t completed your continuing education. HOWEVER, make sure you complete your continuing education by the June 10th deadline! You may also check this NC Real Estate Commission web page to see if your continuing education credits have been posted. Once you login, click on “CE License Information.” Allow up to 20 days from the day of course completion for your credits to show on the NCREC website. Keep your continuing education certificates for your personal records.
Important Dates
June 10th – Deadline for completing your continuing education. All continuing education must be completed before midnight, June 10th. View our schedule of classes and register today if you have not taken your continuing education. You may also take your continuing education elective online. Make sure to complete your online elective before midnight, June 10th. We offer 16 different online electives, including topics on residential real estate, commercial real estate and property management.  If you decide to take your continuing education elective ONLINE, please do not wait until June 10th.  The NC Real Estate Commission does not make exceptions for students waiting until June 10th and subsequently having technical problems with accessing an online course.  All licensees must take the Mandatory Update course. Brokers-in-Charge and “BIC eligible” licensees must also take the BIC Annual Review course (BICAR). The BICAR course will count as an elective for BIC and BIC Eligible licensees only. The Mandatory Update and the BICAR courses must be taken in-class.
June 30th – Deadline for RENEWING your NC Real Estate License. If you have a firm license, it too must be renewed by JUNE 30th. Go to the NC Real Estate Commission website to renew your license online.
