I’ve recently become a runner! What? Where did Tamara go? LOL I have a friend that is a die hard runner and she loves it and I thought well, if she can like it and look fabulous, why can’t I? So, I did what I teach all of my students I interviewed her. I asked her, what’s the last thing you think before you go running? She said, “I picture my cheeks red when I’m done and I can feel my body feeling strong and every time my feet hit the pavement, I imagine I’m stomping out the fat.” Wow, talk about motivational, I started running that day! Now, the last thing I used to think about before I went to workout was I don’t know where my shoes are, I have to walk my dog first, I’m kind of hungry should I eat first, working out is boring etc. I was focusing on the steps while my motivated friend was focusing on the outcome.
Too many people that I coach tell me that they get stuck and I had a revelation a few weeks ago at church, which by the way my preacher is outstanding! He is by far one of the most powerful inspirational speakers I have ever heard on this planet! He said, you know people don’t get stuck, they are just empty. Huh, so maybe when we think, I’ve tried to lose weight every year for 25 years and I’ve never been successful. Maybe we need to fill up with the right kinds of quality questions that drive us to obtain our outcomes? Maybe we need to fill up our life with healthy friends? Maybe we need to fill up on the possibilities that the future holds. One of my favorite sayings in the bible is that you cannot step twice into the same river; for other waters are continually flowing in. What this encourages us with is that even though we may seem to be getting the same results over and over know that as you are stepping in, other waters are ever flowing onto you. New possibilities are always there have hope! You must negotiate, you must go over or around or through the obstacles that are in your path to get your outcome! Someone is always selling someone! Are you selling yourself on becoming the best version of yourself or are doubtful thoughts selling you out?
