This 4-hour 2025-2026 BIC: Risk Management for Brokers-in-Charge course highlights the responsibilities of a broker-in-charge and delves into 
statutes and requirements that should be included in office policy to minimize risks commonly associated with a brokerage, including trust 
accounting, property disclosure, document retention, brokerage relationships, the use of forms, and fair housing.  

This course is designed to meet the 75-hour pre-licensing curriculum requirement for real estate brokers as set forth by the state of North Carolina. The course provides foundational knowledge on real property and contract law, agency law and brokerage topics, as well as other real estate-related topics important for the well-rounded professional, including real estate financing, appraisal, calculations, fair housing, property management, construction, land use, property insurance, property tax, real estate investment, and more. It examines all relevant elements of North Carolina’s Real Estate License Law, as well as other pertinent laws related to the practice of real estate in the state.
